Do visitors need to download an app?

No. Visitors simply scan the QR code with their phone camera — no app download is required. Only the resident or property manager needs the DoorVi app.

Does DoorVi require hardware installation?

No drilling or cabling is needed. The DoorVi QR sticker is weatherproof and attaches to any surface at your gate, lobby, or entrance. Setup takes under 30 minutes.

What types of properties does DoorVi support?

DoorVi works for villas and homes, apartment buildings, gated communities, towers and high-rises, hotels, and offices. It supports multi-unit buildings with resident directories.

Can I unlock the gate remotely?

Yes. When you receive a video call from the gate, you can grant access or deny it with one tap — from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet.

What is the six-digit guest invite code?

Residents can generate a six-digit invite code for expected guests, delivery staff, or contractors. The guest enters the code at the gate to verify approved access and unlock the entry point — no live video call required.

Can I pre-approve a visitor before they arrive?

Yes. DoorVi supports visitor pre-registration and pre-approval, plus temporary passes for single-use, date-range, recurring, or event visitors — so planned guests don't need a live call at arrival.

Yes. Any Android tablet or iPad can be turned into a DoorVi Digital Concierge — visitors search a resident directory and start a video call directly from the touchscreen, replacing a traditional intercom panel or receptionist.
